Apparently Ethan has no idea where his shoulders are. Whenever I ask him to show me his shoulders, he will pat his chest with one of his hands. I will go, “This is your chest, your shoulders are here.” And he will just laugh and go back to pat his chest like, “Nope! All along you’ve been mistaken, mom!”
The other day, when I asked him to show me where his nose was. And I’m glad that people in his world have noses as where my people have theirs. Then I asked him to show me where my nose was. Usually he will just point at his own nose because it’s always about himself. But this time, he got so close to my face, focused all his energy on his fore finger, and all of a sudden, stuck it up my left nostril and held it there for much longer than was appropriate. I believe it was his way of saying, “Just in case you want me to be specific.”
How can I not love him?!
